At every AGM meeting, there is a process by which the Board of Directors is chosen. Here is that process that can be found within the BCPTA Constitution – Bylaws:

Election of directors/officers
38 (1) At each annual general meeting, the members entitled to vote for the election of directors must elect the Board and each officer position listed in bylaw 55 (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer).

(2) An election of a director or officer may be by acclamation, but the election must otherwise be by secret ballot.

(3) If a successor is not elected, the person previously elected or appointed continues to hold office.

(4) The Board may approve policies and procedures to govern the conduct of the nomination and election processes in relation to matters that not covered under these Bylaws.

“The activities that are the easiest, cheapest, and most fun to do – such as singing, playing games, reading, storytelling, and just talking and listening – are also the best for child development.”
– Jerome Singer (professor, Yale University)
