BCPTA Committees

We are always interested in new (and old) members getting involved in the various committees. These are the “cogs” that turn the BCPTA wheel!

Read on to find out more about the committees and what they entail.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is a vital part of the BCPTA and is responsible for organizing and facilitating professional development through workshops, lectures and other events. Members of this very active committee:

  • Propose and research appropriate workshop topics
  • Find speakers
  • Book venues
  • Advertise
  • Set up any catering
  • Gather needed materials
  • Coordinate Play Cafés
  • Coordinate Online Learning

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for:

  • Updating the membership database
  • Processing all membership applications and providing certificates
  • Overseeing the online private practice directory
  • Providing email support for membership inquiries
  • Collecting fees and providing receipts for manual registrations

Communication Committee

The Communication Committee is responsible for:

  • Coordinating advertising
  • Updating and managing BCPTA’s social media accounts
  • Imprints of Play, BCPTA’s e-newsletter
