Dr. Madeleine De Little

Biographical Info Madeleine has her private practice in Fort Langley in a little cottage at the bottom of her beautiful English garden. She has a number of Associates who are all clinical counsellors and are trained in sand tray therapy by Madeleine. The Associates see children with behavioural issues, anxiety, depression, acute and long term trauma, Currently, Madeleine is seeing mostly adults who have tried other therapies and who want to access childhood traumas that have not been resolved in any other way. No one is too young to play! Madeleine is the author of the book called "Where Words Can't Reach: Neuroscience and the Satir Model in the Sand Tray". She has developed an original approach to using the sand tray which uses the basics of the work of Virginia Satir, the latest neurobiological research of attachment and right brain to right brain attunement by Allan Schore and Stephen Porges. Madeleine is an international trainer in her approach, particularly in China, Thailand, Slovakia, Singapore and the Czech Republic. Madeleine also holds workshops in her home on how to use her approach which covers level 1, working with families, depression, anxiety, grief, shame and trauma. Madeleine has a PhD in the personal growth of graduate counsellors. She is a "Master Therapeutic Counsellor and a Registered Clinical Supervisor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #4861). Madeleine was the recipient of the"2021/2022, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Counsellor Practitioner Award."
