Biographical Info I have been working with neurodiverse children (my favourite people!) and their families for over 20 years, including children with learning differences, autism and ADHD. Whether they identify as typical or neurodiverse, I utilize empowerment approaches, with the goal of helping children and youth rediscover their strengths, face their fears, and experience more joy in their lives - ideally in collaboration with their trusted adults. Areas of focus include anxiety, self-esteem, self-identity, sadness, grief and loss, and life changes. My approaches include sandtray work, puppet play, art mediums, story-telling, neuroscience-based education, and generally creative approaches to challenging problems. I have training in play therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behaviour therapies. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work from UBC and a master's degree in Social Work at UVIC. I am a registered with the BC College of Social Workers, and am a member of the BC Play Therapy Association.
