Melanie Miki

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), trained in EMDR with advanced training as a Child specialist in EMDR, certified Synergetic Play Therapist, certified Expressive Play Therapist, level one NSST Sand Tray Therapist and Nature Therapist. I have a UBC master’s degree in counselling psychology and special education with a SFU master’s degree in environmental education. I have extensive expertise in supporting children, teens and adults through life’s transitions, helping them to build resilience and navigate difficult emotions. I provide comprehensive counselling for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, stress management, relationship issues, chronic illness adjustment, anticipatory loss, anger, and personal growth. I strive to provide not only relief from immediate struggles but also tools for long-term growth. My approach is grounded in inclusivity, authenticity, and respect for individual strengths.
