Melanie Miki

Melanie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and FNHA Mental Health Provider. She is certified in Expressive Play Therapy, Traumatic Incident Reduction and Life Stress Reduction. Melanie completed her master’s degrees in Counselling Psychology and Special Education at UBC and Environmental Education at SFU. She is a course writer and instructor for Queen’s University. Melanie has written two graduate level courses; Social Emotional Learning and Supporting Student Communication Through the Expressive Arts. Melanie uses a strength-based counselling approach when working with clients. Clients are able to share their inner thoughts and feelings in a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment.
