For over 25 years, I have been dedicated to fostering healing and growth in children and their families. My practice is built on the belief that every child has the innate capacity to thrive, and that with the right support, families can navigate even the most challenging circumstances. I provide a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where your child can feel safe to express themselves and where you, as parents, feel empowered and understood. My work is deeply rooted in a comprehensive understanding of child development and the profound impact of early relationships. I specialize in addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and the effects of trauma. Recognizing that a child's well-being is intrinsically linked to the family system, I work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen attachment bonds and cultivate a nurturing home environment. My approach is tailored to the unique needs of each child and family I meet. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, integrating play therapy, family systems therapy, and attachment-focused interventions. My extensive experience has equipped me with a deep well of knowledge and a gentle, patient demeanor that allows me to connect with children on their level. Specialization in Play Therapy: Utilizing Play Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy™, and Filial Therapy to help children process experiences and heal in their natural language of play.
Focus on Attachment: Strengthening the parent-child bond is central to my work. I use models like Parent-Child Attachment Therapy and Circle of Security Parenting™ to foster secure, resilient relationships.
Nervous System Regulation: I help children and parents understand their nervous systems, providing practical tools to manage stress, improve co-regulation, and enhance overall well-being.
Comprehensive Training: My integrative toolkit also includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. Navigating the path of your child's mental health can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. I am here to be your partner in this journey, offering guidance, support, and the tools you need to help your child and family flourish. I invite you to reach out to schedule a consultation to discuss how we can work together to support your child's well-being and bring greater harmony to your family.
