About the Play Café:
Learn how Dallas uses Bibliotherapy to help children struggling with difficult issues and to support the adults in their lives who want to help support them. Dallas will be presenting Woodland Wisdom Books, which were created to support parents, caregivers, educators, counsellors, and other helpers in the community to navigate difficult subjects with children. Then we will have some fun as we work through some of the experiential exercises presented in the books.
About the Presenter:
Dallas Shirley is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who provides children and family counselling at non-profit organizations. She is passionate about and dedicated to making the world a better place, believing that if children and families are provided with healthy ways to express their thoughts and feelings, it could have a big impact on the future of our world.
Play Cafés are free for members, $10.00 for non-members.
