We are pleased to be offering certification to those wishing to become registered play therapists. You can become a British Columbia Registered Play Therapist (BCRPT) or a British Columbia Registered Play Therapy Supervisor (BCRPT-S). You will find all the information that you need below for BCRPT certification.
What to submit for BCRPT: application form + applicable fee (see application form) and all accompanying paper work. See checklist on application form to verify all documentation is included. Once received and reviewed, we will send you a PayPal invoice for the appropriate fee.
When complete, the form and documents can be emailed to email@example.com or mailed to Certification, BC Play Therapy Association, PO Box 19009 4th Ave Post Office, Vancouver, BC, V6K 4R8.If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Updates to Training Hours (CEs) needed for Certification as BCRPT:
BCRPT play therapy training CE requirements now state that the 180 CE hours can be in person or online, with a maximum of 50 of those online hours being pre-recorded online trainings.
Updates to Training Hours (CEs) needed for Certification as BCRPT-S:
BCRPT-S supervisor training CE requirements now specify that the 12 hours of supervision training (with a minimum of 2 hours play therapy-specific supervisor training) can be online training with a maximum of 9 hours being pre-recorded online training.
These amendments will be reviewed once the covid-19 pandemic is over.
